Shaw Contract 2.5 mm LVT profile installs together with most StrataWorx carpet tiles for smooth transitions, making multi-use spaces even more user-friendly in commercial environments. Our Shaw 4151 Universal Performance Adhesive simplifies installation by providing a single solution to adhere both LVT and carpet tile. 

It’s easy to determine if your flooring can be installed without transitions. First, both products must be installed with full-spread adhesive. The hard surface cannot be higher than the carpet height. The changes in vertical level height of both surfaces must be less than 1/4 inch maximum, based on the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards. Finally, the hard- and soft-surface transitions must always meet guidelines of local, state and federal building codes. 

Removing transitions ensures one less space for dirt and grime to gather, allowing for cleanliness and longevity of your flooring. A transitionless space also reduces the risk of trip-and-fall hazards by decreasing elevation changes in the floor and eases foot and roller traffic across multiple surfaces.
