Designing Immersive Hospitality: Trilith Guesthouse, A Tribute Portfolio Hotel

At the Trilith Guesthouse, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel in Fayetteville, Georgia, the art of storytelling comes to life with the help of Shaw Contract Hospitality custom flooring.

Located within Trilith, a 235-acre master-planned residential and mixed-use development south of Atlanta, the community is adjacent to Trilith Studios, the largest purpose-built film studio in the United States. The hotel is part of a community designed as a haven for creatives, artists, storytellers and makers.

The Trilith Guesthouse boutique hotel, designed by NELSON Worldwide, reflects the spirit of this vibrant community through architecture, amenities and atmosphere that celebrates innovation, culture and connection.

“Exploring Trilith Guesthouse is an immersive experience where visitors uncover subtle nods to the art of storytelling. Each section of the hotel presents a fresh adventure, ensuring guests are continually engaged as they roam the property,” according to NELSON Worldwide.

Custom Hotel Floors Ground the Design Story 

To support the hotel’s immersive design, Shaw Contract Hospitality provided a suite of flooring solutions that balance design, performance and storytelling. Each space within the property is designed to enhance the guest experience:

• Custom CYP Broadloom Carpet in public spaces adds warmth and visual texture, supporting the hotel’s residential feel.
• Custom CYP rugs in guestroom suites
• Engineered Hardwood grounds gathering areas with natural elegance.
• Soundscape LVT was selected for guestrooms, offering durability and acoustic comfort with a soft, inviting tone.
• Custom Multituft Broadloom Carpet in guest rooms delivers plush comfort and design continuity, bridging the public space designs into guests’ private rooms.

These selections were made in collaboration with Shaw Contract’s Custom Design Studio (CDS), which specializes in designing carpet and hospitality projects. The CDS team worked closely with designers to ensure every flooring element aligned with the hotel’s brand, aesthetic and functional goals, from concept to installation.

Multifunctional areas flex between co-working and relaxation, with finishes like boucle upholstery, curved furniture and matte woods elevating the atmosphere without sacrificing performance.

Design Founded in Local Design: The hotel’s design is deeply rooted in its local context. Artwork sourced from local artists tells the story of Trilith, while the surrounding community offers artisanal shops, chef-driven restaurants and immersive experiences at Trilith Studios.
